CLEANING CRYSTALS
Crystals need regular cleansing. They absorb energies from the environment and also any negative ones from their owners (current or past).
The following ideas are for your discernment. It is important for you to “tune in” to your crystal to ascertain which method it prefers, understanding that some crystals do not like certain clearing and cleansing activities. If you have any doubt as to which method your crystal prefers then the White Light, the Full Moon and the Prayer Methods are ideal for all crystals.
- For crystals in jewellery bless the piece in your hand invoking pure white light to pass through and around the item. Hold for a few minutes until you ‘know’ it is done.
- Using White Angelica blend of essential oil in the Young Living range gently wipe over with a soft cloth on non porous crystals. Can also be used for jewellery crystals (non porous).
- Using Serepis Bey from Aura Soma wipe over crystals and jewellery crystals with a soft cloth.
- Leave crystals out in the full moon of each month. Put out the night before and bring in the night after the full moon, so that they can absorb the full moon influence in the day light hours. Watch out for porous crystals where you place them, don’t get them wet or damp by the night air.
- Say a prayer over your crystals and ask for them to be blessed.
- Washing the crystals in the ocean is ideal, but don’t loose them!!
- Bury them lightly in the Earth for however long you ‘know’ is right (not for porous ones).
- Hang them on a tree.
- Place them in a bowl of sea salt (not for porous ones or jewellery) overnight.
